Coverage of SBI Simple home insurance
The policy provides coverage against the following
- Natural calamities like earthquake, tempest, storm, hurricane, flood, landslide etc.
- Fire, lightening, inundation, explosion (excluding boilers and pressure vessels), etc.
- Loss/damage caused due to man-made calamities like riots, strikes, malicious activities, etc.
- Optional coverage for Terrorism Cover.
- Covers your house against impact damage, missile testing operations, bursting of water tanks, pipes and other apparatus.
Exclusions of SBI Simple home insurance
- Loss, destruction or Damage caused by war, invasion, act of foreign enemy hostilities or war like operations civil war, mutiny.
- Loss, destruction or Damage directly or indirectly caused to the property insured by Ionizing radiations, contamination, explosives, or other hazardous properties.
- Loss, destruction or Damage caused to the insured property by pollution or contamination.
- Cover your contents against burglary & theft including larceny.
- Loss or Damage while the home is unoccupied.
- When You and/ or Your family are directly or indirectly an any way involved in or concerned with the actual or attempted Burglary, Theft and Larceny.
- Loss or Damage to livestock, motor vehicles or pedal cycle, personal money, securities for money, stamp, bullion, deeds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, stock or share certificates, business books, manuscripts, documents of any kind, unset precious stones, jewelry, valuables, ATM or Credit cards, art paintings.
