Eligibility of Universal Sompo Domestic travel insurance

• Inpatient Hospitalisation
• Pre/ Post Hospitalisation for 30 and 60 days respectively
• Listed Day Care surgeries and Procedures
• Domiciliary Hospitalisation
• Daily Allowance
• Expenses of accompanying person
• Ambulance cover

• Cancer of specified severity
• Open Chest CABG
• Kidney Failure requiring regular dialysis
• Stroke resulting in permanent symptoms
• Major Organ/Bone Marrow Transplant
• Multiple Sclerosis with persisting symptoms

Waiting Periods of Universal Sompo Senior Citizen insurance

• Any claim within 30 days of taking the policy.
• Pre-existing diseases: Covered after 24 months
• 90 days for the listed Critical illnesses and Surgical Procedures

Exclusions of Universal Sompo Senior Citizen insurance

• Specific waiting period of Two years for listed ailments.
• Any hospital admission primarily for investigation/diagnostic purpose.
• Outpatient treatment, treatment outside India.
• Any Illness, sickness or disease, other than specified as Critical Illness, as mentioned in the policy schedule.
• Circumcision, sex change surgery ,cosmetic surgery & plastic surgery,
• Special nursing care, routine health checks or convalescence, Custodial Care, general debility, lethargy, rest cure etc.
• Mental disorders, emotional distress, suicide attempt etc.
• Substance abuse, self-inflicted injuries, STDs and HIV / AIDS,
• Hazardous sports, war, terrorism, civil war or reach of law.
• Any kind of service charge, surcharge, admission fees, registration fees levied by the hospital.

Co-payment of Universal Sompo Senior Citizen insurance

• Co-pay of 10% is applicable on all admissible hospitalisation claims under the Policy
• Co-pay of 20% shall be applicable on all claims, admissible under Section A- Hospitalisation ,arising out of any pre-existing diseases under the policy
• Co-pay of 15% shall be applicable on all Day Care Procedures/ Surgeries claims
• No any Co-pay shall be applicable on packaged charges by Hospital
