Covid -19 is covered up to the Sum Insured for all the ages.

This policy covers medical expenses arising out of Covid-19 outside India, including Medical expenses incurred during Quarantine subject to the policy terms and conditions.

Accommodation and non-medical expenses arising during Quarantine period are excluded.

What are the salient features of the Family Travel Insurance Plan of Bajaj Allianz?

The Travel Insurance Family plan of Bajaj Allianz is specially planned for the families who are traveling together abroad. The insurance plan covers the immediate family of the policyholder under the family travel insurance plan. The policyholder, his/her spouse (upto the age of 60 years) and their dependent children (upto the age of 21 years) can be covered under this plan. The insured family members of the policy holder are covered for Medical Expenses following a sickness or accident, Loss of Baggage or Passport, Personal Liability, Delayed baggage, Emergency Dental Expenses etc and many more. In addition to this, it covers you against burglary of your home while you are away, along with expenses incurred in the event your trip is cancelled or curtailed.

What if the insured traveler is in urgent need of cash while travelling abroad?

While travelling abroad, one can have unforeseen and unplanned emergencies, which could include emergency medical assistance following an accident or sickness, Loss of Personal belongings, passport following a theft/ burglary etc. Under the Family Travel Insurance Plan offered by Bajaj Allianz, through the Emergency Cash Advance facility, the policy provides the insured member with Emergency Cash Advance when and where needed. The limit of the amount is specified in the policy terms and conditions, subject to such credit limits available on their Credit Cards.

Is Cashless Medical Treatment available under the Family Travel policy?

Yes, the Family Travel Insurance Policy offers cashless settlement for In-hospital medical expenses, at hospitals within their cashless network abroad. For details, please refer to the terms and conditions of your policy. Hence it is recommended for the insured member to reach out to the Assistance Company (contact details are available on the COI (Certificate of Insurance) for them to direct you to these Cashless Hospital facilities for treatment.

Is there any pre-approval process to be followed before hospitalization?

In case of the planned hospitalization, one has to inform the TPA about their medical treatment in advance. Moreover, the insured will also have to take a pre-approval from the travel insurance provider before getting admitted in case they want to avail the cashless claim facility.

Can family member who is 60+ years old travelling along with the family also be insured under the Family Travel Plan?

A senior member of the family, above the age of 60 years, cannot be covered under the Family Travel insurance plan. it is advisable for this senior member to be insured under an Individual plan like Travel Prime Age Plan or any of our senior citizen plan offered by Bajaj Allianz.
