Yes, one can cancel the policy if their trip gets cancelled. Ideally one should cancel the policy prior to the inception of the same. However the policy terms and conditions allows the insured to cancel the policy as a special case after the expiry of 15 days from the expiry date of the policy. The insured needs to submit a cancellation letter to Bajaj General and provide proof (normally it is a passport photocopy) that the planned trip had not commenced. The company deducts cancellation charges according to the cancellation table, and refunds the balance premium.
Yes, the Asia Prime Family Policy will take care of the travel insurance needs of the family. The policy will cover the primary member, their spouse (up to 60 years of age) and 2 dependent children under the age of 21 years under a single policy, with a Floating Sum Insured of $50,000 and $100,000 for the entire family. The Personal Accident cover, however works individually.
Any person holding a valid Indian passport between the ages of 6 months and 70 years, travelling to any Asian destination(apart from Japan), can be covered under this policy. The policy offers a maximum overseas duration of 30 days or less. Foreign citizens (with a PIO or OCI card or work permit) residing in India are also eligible for the Asia Travel Insurance offered by Bajaj General.
