The US based TATA AIG Travel Insurance Service Center provide TATA AIG travelguard customers the required support in any adverse situation while in the country as well as direct customer on the claims processing procedure.

It is however important to call the customer support number in the event of a claim. In the event of Outpatient treatment (where hospitalization is not necessary), the insured should keep all the relevant bills and receipts and file the same for reimbursement with Tata AIG, Claims Department.

Tata AIG Claims Procedure for Medical and Non Medical Claims

Medical
Emergency Hospitalisation Inform Europ Assist (Assistance and Claims Partner abroad) at the earliest providing details of Insured Traveler and Policy Schedule Number Europ Assist verifies coverage of the Insured Traveler, coordinates with Hospital on the treatment and assesses Admissibility of the Claim Europ Assist coordinates with Tata AIG Claims team and places Guarantee of Payment (GOP) with the hospital for Admissible Expenses - Turnaround Time 4-5 hours Once treatment is completed, Europ Assist will settle payment to Hospital, Insured pays Deductible
Planned Hospitalisation Insured reaches Europ Assist regarding proposed treatment Europ Assist verifies coverage of the Insured Traveler, assesses Admissibility of the Claim and recommends suitable Hospital to the member Europ Assist coordinates with Tata AIG Claims team and places Guarantee of Payment (GOP) with the hospital for Admissible Expenses - Turnaround Time 4-5 hours Once treatment is completed, Europ Assist will settle payment to Hospital, Insured pays Deductible
Reimbursement of Outpatient Treatment Insured visits Medical Facility for Outpatient Treatment and makes payment for the treatment received. Should retain Treatment records, bills and receipt for payment for Doctors visit and Pharmacy expenses, if any On Return to India, or while abroad, Insured reaches out to Europ Assist and submits all Documents related to the Treatment and subsequent expenses Europ Assist verifies coverage of the Insured Traveler, assesses Admissibility of the Claim, Reviews the Documents submitted and forwards to Tata AIG with the Medical Recommendation. Tata AIG Claims team, reviews the claim, and makes Reimbursement for eligible expenses directly to Insured - Turnaround Time 7-15 working days post submission of all documents
Non Medical Claims
Reimbursement of Expenses incurred directly related to the Benefit/Coverage Insured incurs Expenses direcltly related to the Loss - Baggge Delay/Loss, Loss of Passport, Flight Delay, Trip Cancellation and other similar Benefits…retain all relevant bills for the expenses On Return to India, or while abroad, Insured reaches out to Europ Assist and submits all Documents related to the Nature of Loss and subsequent expenses Europ Assist verifies coverage of the Insured Traveler, assesses Admissibility of the Claim, Reviews the Documents submitted and forwards to Tata AIG with their Recommendation. Tata AIG Claims team, reviews the claim, and makes Reimbursement for eligible expenses directly to Insured - Turnaround Time 7-15 working days post submission of all documents
Personal Liability Insured reaches Europ Assist regarding Liability Suit and Expenses likely to be incurred Europ Assist verifies coverage of the Insured Traveler, assesses Admissibility of the Claim and recommends action to be taken in coordination with the Legal Expert Europ Assist coordinates with Tata AIG Claims team and works out the Payment Plan to all stakeholders
